Following the Government’s announcement on the 22nd February 2021, the Club’s courts are now open once again. Members must inform Sandra Bennett (firstname.lastname@example.org or by text on 07870 768895) each time they play, the day that they played, who they played with and the arrival time. This is for Test and Trace purposes and is not optional.
The LTA have produced a Summary Grid, a Players and Venue Guidance of what will and won’t be allowed as from the 29th March (see link on the home page).
The Test and Trace system still applies. This is not optional.
This requires two things from every club member.
1. Pre- attendance sympton check
Anyone attending a venue (including players, coaches, staff and any other visitors), should undergo a pre-attendance self-assessment for any COVID-19 symptoms using the information on the NHS website before leaving home. No-one should leave home to participate in tennis if they, or someone they live with, has symptoms of COVID -19, currently recognised as any of the following:-
· A high temperature,
· A new, continuous cough,
· A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste
2. NHS TEST & TRACE
To support NHS Test and Trace, venues have to keep a temporary record of all those on site for 21 days, in a way that is manageable, and assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for that data if needed.
Members must inform Sandra Bennett (email@example.com or by text on 07870 768895) each time they play, the day that they played, who they played with and the arrival time.
The committee has decided that for the immediate future there should be no guest players at the club. This will simplify our collection of information to just that of members only.
Other guidance on safety and hygiene remain in force. Sanitisers are placed at each end of the courts and should be used regularly.
